Etiquette & Espionage - Gail Carriger

Gail Carriger takes to young adult fiction with her new Finishing School series. I really enjoyed her Parasol Protectorate series and once I realized this was the same world, I was excited to read it.

I still love the steampunk world. I loved Sophronia. She's witty and funny. She reminds me of a younger version of Alexia Tarabotti from her first series.

I don't know, though. The story was a only so-so for me. It started of well with a quick chase carriage scene but it sagged in the middle.

The story was too quick. The plot and the characters just didn't get enough screen time.

I'm hoping everything gets fleshed out more in the next book. I still have high hopes!
